In a word…Spectacular!

We are waiting in the Narita airport lounge for our return flight to Los Angeles. Our visit to Niseko was, in a word, spectacular. The inn (Moku no Sho) was outstanding in all
facets – beautiful in a updated classic Japanese way, size (just 25 rooms), privacy (it never
felt like there were more than 3 or 4 couples there, even though the inn was full), quiet, great service, phenomenal food (the freshest of ingredients, with extraordinary preparation), comfort and convenience. The only challenge, easily addressed with a little patience, is the somewhat limited English skills of the staff (we learned quickly not to ask long or multi-part questions!).

We will most definitely go back, and will recommend this inn to anyone interested in visiting this wonderful and tranquil island / town in northern Japan.  We honestly did not want to leave.

Oh, and by the way, the snow for skiing is among the best in the world, without exaggeration. Ultra plentiful, light, powdery and deep.  The ski resorts are a very short drive from Moku no Sho, and they provide regular shuttles.
